WOMAN POURED ACID ON HUSBAND

 Meet 31 year old police officer called Dan from Uganda. He was not born with this frightening appearance. What you see is the result of a normal argument he had with his wife.

One day, Dan and his wife had an argument about a house issue. He says it seemed a normal argument like any married couple and later left for work. He had a night shift so he came back home the day after at 05:30 am and went straight to the bed to have some sleep.

This is the moment his wife chose to come and pour acid solution on his face. Then she ran away. But it was not enough for her to spoil his face, she also acted so that he couldn't escape the bedroom. She had poured water on the floor and connected it to electricity. As soon as Dan stepped on the floor, he was electrocuted.

He screamed so loud for help before his neighbours came and found him in his despair. They rushed him to hospital and luckily his life was saved, but unfortunately not his eyes. Dan permanently lost his sight and now completely blind.

His wife was arrested, then released later on bail. He says he forgave her but he is not going to abandon the charges against her. He only met her at the court and all she said was that she doesn't know why she did what she did.

This is how a random conversation with a simple disagreement can lead to tragedy. He adds that every single day he lives is a struggle. All because someone could not manage her anger and emotions. Dan is just one of the many men that have suffered extreme domestic violence.

Bubbly Mahogany Geter is a 23- year- old woman from Knoxville, Tennessee who was born with lymphedema, a long- term condition where excess fluid collects in the body' s soft tissue, causing swelling on her left side.According to Miss Geter, even though she suffered ignorant comments and bullying as a child that knocked her confidence, she now feels ' beautiful inside and out. '

The aspiring and super model has consistently ignored these trolls and proudly shows off her disability with empowering photoshoots on social media.These Trolls mock Mahogany with comments telling her to ' amputate her leg to look ' better' but she has learnt to ignore them.

" I have had my fair share of ignorant comments, one person told me my leg looked like a ham roll and one girl at school called me a deformed b*tch. It has been so hard to rise above these mean people but I have no other choice, " Mahogany stated in an interview.She added that " for the longest I felt so low about myself but once I got older and with loads of support from the online lymphedema community and my mom who is my inspiration, she is so strong, I realised how beautiful I am. Not only looks but as a person. "

She however added that there are some people who also encourage her with positive comments.

" People have been so nice and supportive of me online. It isn' t all trolling and negativity. I have met so many people online who keep me company on this health journey I am on.' " I' m not currently working as I am focusing on getting my leg better. I spend a lot of time drawing, listening to music and posting content on my YouTube channel, "Mahogany Geter added.

Mahogany takes care of her condition on a daily basis with massage, compression dressings and physiotherapy.

She also drinks lots of water to flush out her system and has to avoid salty foods and alcohol

This lady met a man on Facebook. They chatted and agreed to meet in a hotel.

They met and she was paid. Unknown to the man, she videoed him.

She then used the video to blackmail him asking for N15 million. He refused. She then spread the video on Facebook.

He reported to the DSS, they arrested and charged her to court. 

Her bail alone is N5 million plus landed property.

This happened in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. She has been taken to the Okaka Prison.
